Overview

This textual description summarizes a dashboard of engagement trends for Martin and Bosco’s blaze post, based on data collected through Tumblr’s /notes API.

Data current as of June 6, 2025 for approximately 260,000 notes.

The dashboard presents:

  • Download Progress: 86% of notes have been downloaded.

  • Engagement Types: Reblogs and likes are the dominant forms of interaction, with few replies.

Major Observations

  • Engagement Types: Interaction types are fairly evenly split between likes and reblogs.

  • Daily Note Activity: Daily notes engagement is highly concentrated at the beginning of the timeline, with a major spike on July 22, 2022 (14,926 notes). A second major spike occurred on July 14, 2024 (8,778 notes). After these peaks, activity tapers off, with intermittent bursts in 2023, 2024, and early 2025.

    Spikes are defined as days with more than 247 notes and are highlighted with red markers on the timeline.

  • Hourly Activity: Engagement peaks around 4 PM UTC with 13,963 notes and stays high into the late afternoon and evening, with strong note counts from 7 PM to 9 PM UTC. Earlier in the day, 2 PM UTC also shows elevated engagement with 13,272 notes. Early morning activity is notable, with 11,797 notes around 4 AM UTC.
